GUIDELINES FOR CREMATION

  1. Death Declaration or Death Notification & Covid 19 report to be obtained from the Private/Government Hospital, where the person passed away
  1. DHA Death Certificate
  2. Cremation permit from Dubai Municipality
  3. Letter issuance by Dubai police to claim the body from Hospital
  4. Passport Cancellation

Relatives/friends to approach nearest Police Station along with Death declaration certificate. They must carry deceased’s original Passport & 4 copies each of Visa, Emirates ID & Passport, along with their own original Passport, & 4 copies each of Visa, Emirates ID & Passport.

The responsible person needs to carry deceased’s original Passport, original Police report, along with the copies of Passport, Visa, Emirates ID & Death notification. They must also carry their own copies of their Passport, Visa & Emirates ID to Rashidiya Health Center.

The person in charge should carry the original Police report, Original Passport of the deceased, copies of Passport, Visa & Emirates ID. Along with their own Passport, Visa & Emirates ID copies. If family members are not present in Dubai, they would need NOC letter from Indian consulate, Dubai.

This process requires same set of documents: Police report, Passport & copies of Passport, Visa & Emirates ID of the deceased, along with copies of authorized person’s Passport, Visa & Emirates ID (to be same name mentioned on Dubai Police Letter & Death notification copy) – Cremation Appointment letter with Time & Date.

  • Death Registration Forms (annexure I & II, Duly Complete – Three copies each
  • Deceased’s Original Passport and 2 copies of Passport – front and last pages & 2 copies of Visa
  • Person/Authorized persons 2 copies of Passport – front & last page & 2 copies of Visa
  • 3 copies of Death Certificate – in English
  • Death Notification and if the case is Suicide, or in case the person passed away at home, it requires need Forensic report with legal Translation – 2 copies.
  • If Family of the deceased is in India, it requires Notarized Authorization Letter from the Family -Parents/Spouse or Relatives Sponsor/Company Letter

  • If the patient passed away at home or due to terminal illness, contact Dubai Police Ambulance and Ambulance will take body to Rashid Hospital for Check-up. (Family/relatives/friends to accompany). Dubai Police Ambulance Dial 39 or 100
  • If the person died at Rashid Hospital, the Police report will be issued by Rashid Hospital Police Authority.
  • Rashid Hospital Authority will then arrange a check-up for the dead body after which the dead body will be carried to Deira Police H.Q.
  • Forensic report will be issued by Dubai Police H.Q.
  • Following 3 reports will be issued from the nearest Police Station or Rashid Hospital:
  1. Death Certificate issued by DHA
  2. Cremation Permit from Dubai Municipality from Al Qusais Graveyard Contact 04-2643355
  3. Certificate to get the body released
